Film shoot case: Ranam movie stunt director arrested

Bengaluru: A day after the kin of cylinder blast victims staged a dramatic protest before the Bagalur police station the city police on Monday arrested the assistant stunt director working on Ranam.
The arrested Subhash (55), a resident of Kengeri.
The police arrested him on Monday, April 1 after learning that he was actually involved in the execution of the particular stunt, which led to the tragic deaths.
Subhash was the one who was responsible for the execution of that particular stunt scene and he was the one who assembled the multiple compressor cannons under the SUV for the scene, informed sources.
An eight-year-old girl and a woman were killed in a blast during the shooting of a Kannada movie.
“Two persons have died. Another one is injured,” assistant commissioner of police (Sampigehalli division) Mohammed Humayun Nagte informed. According to police, the incident happened during the shooting of a blast scene for Ranam.
