Udupi: Amid the controversy over filming of students in a restroom, Udupi District BJP general secretary Kuilady Suresh Nayak said that a few female students with Jihadi mindset were involved in this deplorable act and we would not allow them to create a ‘Karnataka Story’ like the Kerala story and tarnish the reputation the educational and cultural city of Udupi.

Speaking to media persons, Kuilady said that the suspension of the three students by the management of the educational institution where the incident took place proves the truth behind the case.

“Plans of ruining lives of innocent students by filming their private videos and sharing them with anti-social forces is highly condemnable. It is suspected that the state government is pressurising the police to hush up the case. It is known that the videos shot by the guilty students on their mobile phones have been deleted. The victimised students revealed about involvement of two youths in the case,” he said.

Further Kuilady warned that if police attempts to cover up the case, the BJP will create awareness among students of schools, colleges of Udupi district and fight for justice alongside them. “The state government and home department should not take this case lightly,” further adding that if the Congress-led state government tries to bury this case, it will have to face the consequences in the coming days.
