FIR against Public TV MD, 7 others

Ballari: An FIR has been registered with the Cowl Bazar police against seven persons, including Public TV MD HR Ranganath in connection with regard to an assault case.
As per the sources, the police have booked a case against HR Ranganath, reporter Veeresh Dani, social worker Rajashekhar Mulali, VIMS hospital doctors Ravi Bheemappa, Shadrak, Hanumantaraya and Usha of the nursing section in related to an assault on hospital lab technician VK Yadavada.
Addressing presspersons with this regard, the victim, Yadavada said that Usha had come to the lab on the night of June 12 and asked to get her blood tested as she was reportedly suffering from chest pain, after collecting her blood sample, she abused me with foul language and five others who accompanied her attacked him and snatched cash, gold and his mobile phone and fled the scene.
He further alleged, ” I had filed a defamation case against four persons in 2016, over a report telecast in Public TV in 2015. Subsequently, the Dharwad Bench of Karnataka High Court had dismissed their appeal filed seeking quashing of a defamation case against them. Later, a city court had issued a non-bailable warrant against them seeking clarification. Keeping this in mind, they had assaulted me.”
