FIR filed over BJP’s poster campaign against Minister Priyank Kharge

Bengaluru: BJP has launched a poster campaign demanding the resignation of Minister Priyank Kharge In connection with the contractor Sachin Panchal’s suicide case. This has led to a political war of words between the BJP and Congress.
Meanwhile, an FIR has been registered at the High Grounds Police Station against 13 BJP leaders for pasting posters against the minister.
On Tuesday morning, BJP leaders pasted posters on the walls of a public toilet on Race Course Road. The posters criticized Minister Priyank Kharge, calling the incident a “Supari Bhagya” of the Congress government.
The police complaint alleged that the posters not only defamed the minister but also marred the aesthetics of Bengaluru city.
The FIR accuses BJP leaders of unlawful assembly and causing public inconvenience. Prominent leaders named in the FIR include Legislative Council Opposition Leader Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, Council members C.T. Ravi, and N. Ravikumar, among others.
BJP’s Criticism and Protests
C.T. Ravi lashed out, alleging that Congress has turned districts like Kalaburagi, Belagavi, and Kanakapura into their own “republics.”
Additionally, the Vishwakarma community held a massive protest in Kalaburagi, demanding justice in the contractor Sachin’s suicide case.
