Fire breaks out in commercial complex in Surat; 19 killed

Surat: At least 19 people were feared killed and several others injured in a fire at a coaching centre in Sarthana area of Surat in Gujarat. The coaching centre was located on the third and fourth floors of the Taxshila Complex.
A video tweet shows students jumping out of the second-floor windows.
An official told a local news channel that the top floor of the building has been evacuated and that nobody is trapped in the fire any longer. The official confirmed that the fire fighting operations were on.
The sources have said that the toll can go up. The initial investigation has said that a short circuit caused the fire.
According to news agency, 18 fire tenders are on the spot.
