Fire mishap claims woman’s life

Byndoor: A woman lost her life in an accidental fire at Mayyedi in Byndoor on Thursday May 23rd. The deceased has been identified as Vasanti (40), daughter of Subraya Sherigar.

Apparently, a heap of dry leaves caught fire due to a spark from a beedi and the fire spread to Vasanti’s clothes burning her alive. By the time the fire was doused, she had suffered grievous injuries. She was rushed to the hospital but to no avail.

A case has been registered at Byndoor police station.
