Firemen wake girl in deep sleep from her apt

Mangaluru: A girl who was in deep sleep inside her locked home was rescued by the fire brigade officials yesterday.

Reportedly, the mother rang the door bell several times and noticed that the daughter who has locked herself in the house did not respond for long. After informing the same to the neighbours the fire brigade was called for help.

The fire brigade officials from Kadri and Pandeshwar rushed to the spot and climbed up the fourth floor to reach the girl. The firemen entered the flat with the help of aerial ladder as there was no other way they could reach there, and found that the girl was in deep sleep. This incident took place in Abhiman Mansion apartment complex on Bejai church road in the city on Thursday evening.

Chief fire officer of the city division, T N Shivashankar, guided the operation comprising four officers and 15 firemen, who completed the task in 20 minutes.
