Firing in Broad Daylight Injures Notorious Criminal in Vijayapura Court Premises

Vijayapura: In a broad daylight, unknown assailants fired at notorious criminal Bagappa Harijan at the premises of Vijayapura court here on Tuesday (August 8) morning when Harijan came to appear for a court hearing. Harijan seriously injured as three bullets entered his body after the gang fired at him for five times. Injured has been admitted to Vijayapura district hospital for treatment.

Harijan is known as ‘Bhimapura Killer’ for his notorious criminal activities in Vijayapura. The injured was recently released from jail inconnection with a criminal case. He arrived at the court premises today -Tuesday to appear for a hearing inconnection with a murder attempt case registered against him by his close relatives.

No information is gathered yet on the assailants and the motives behind the attack planned. The police have made elaborate security arrangements at the court premises to prevent any unpleasant incident.
