First batch of Haj pilgrims arrive in Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The Haj Committee welcomed the first batch of Haj pilgrims at Mangaluru International Airport on their arrival here on Saturday, August 31.
A 157-member group who had left for Haj in the month of July arrived via Air India Express from Jeddah airport. Nearly 600 pilgrims are expected to return to Mangaluru in separate groups today (Sept 1) and tomorrow (Sept 2).
Yenapoya Mohammed Kunhi President of Hajj management committee and Vishnumurthy Nayak Mangaluru division of Aanam prem team welcomed the pilgrims.
