Assiyamma (83), who is a resident of Shenimule in Sheni village of Enmakaje GP is disabled due to age related weakness, but she nonetheless cast her first vote at 189 polling booth with assistance from anganwadi teacher Yashodha.
Assiyamma who is divorced from her husband is living with her son Junaid who himself too is disabled. It was possible to cast the vote because of the faith in Anganwadi teacher Yashoda and the support of her daughter-in-law, says Assiyamma.
