Malpe: A video showing staff of Indian Navy arriving by helicopter in Arabian Sea on Karwar – Goa border, flying low and collecting fish from the fishermen of a boat free of cost has gone viral on social media. It is learnt that the boat belongs to Malpe port.

The boat was returning to Malpe after its fishing trip to Goa when the helicopter hovered low near the boat and the people inside the chopper inside signalled the fishermen to part with fish. A bag was lowered with the help of a rope. After the fishermen put some fish into the bag, the bag was pulled up and the chopper left.

The video was recorded by some people in another boat who witnessed the incident and uploaded it on social media. The people have strongly criticized the navy men for having used the navy helicopter meant for defense purposes for personal use.
