Fishing boats to be colour coded: Notice

Udupi: The state level Coastal Security Committee meeting has decided for security purposes to colour code all the mechanized, non-mechanized and traditional boats in Udupi district.
By March 2019, the boat’s hull needs to be painted white while the fender needs to be painted black and also the registered number of the boat must be clearly mentioned on both the ides of the bow. If not followed, all government facilities will be removed, informed Fisheries Department Deputy Director in a release.
