Five arrested for intentions to break public peace in Puttur

Puttur: The police arrested five persons who were trying to disrupt public peace here on Saturday, June 3rd.

The arrested have been identified as Abdul Nasir from Idkidu, Yousuf from Kabaka, Sirazuddin from Kula, Abdul Rauf from Kotekar and Ibrahim Khalil from Talapady.

According to sources the accused were fighting amongs themselves and thereby disrupting the flow of traffic at Kabaka Junction on Saturday afternoon. On receiving complaints from the public, Sub-inspector Ajay Kumar D N visited the location with police personnel Mohan and Manjunatha and found that the group was trying to break the public peace. Hence, they were arrested. A case has been registered at Puttur town police station.
