Five held for conducting illegal sex determination tests

Muzaffarnagar: Five people, four of them women and the fifth a doctor, were arrested for conducting illegal pre-natal sex determination tests in Muzaffarnagar, a health department official said today.
The arrests were made following a raid by health department officials at a house in the city last evening, Additional Chief Medical Officer S K Aggarwal told reporters. He said a case has been filed with the police and the centre has been sealed.
Investigation revealed that the centre charged between Rs 10,000-15,000 per case.
