Five killed as Qualis hits truck in Chitradurga

Chitradurga: An SUV rammed into a parked lorry killing at least five passengers from Tamil Nadu. This unfortunate accident took place on Wednesday morning at Javanagondanahalli of Hiriyur near Chitradurga in Karnataka.
The deceased have been identified as Saddam Hussain (22), Saddam (21), Touseef Ahmed (24) and Shahrukh (20) and Asif (21). While the rest died on spot Asif breathed his last on the way to the hospital in Chitradurga. Three others were injured and one of them is said to be in a criticcal state. According to the sources, Toyota Qualis was heading towards Tamil Nadu from Goa.
All the passengers in the car were from Ambur town of Vellur district in Tamil Nadu. Hiriyur Rural police have registered the case and further investigation is in progress.
