Five more held in Suratkal bar murder case

Mangaluru: Mangaluru police have arrested five more persons in connection with the murder of a youth at a bar in Suratkal.

Manoj alias Manu Guddekopla (40), Sharat alias Munna (35), Praveen Kunder (42), Deepak Raj (33) and Mithun (40) are the arrested persons.

On November 29, the gang had picked up a quarrel with Sandesh (the deceased victim) and assaulted him with a lethal weapon. Two of Sandesh’s friends also sustained injuries when they tried to save Sandesh from the assault.

Earlier on November 30, a day after the murder, the police had arrested three persons – Raghavendra alias Raja from Kiulai, Ganesh and Sohail.
