Five of Same Family from Vijayapura Die in Tragic Road Accident in Karwar

Karwar: In a tragic road accident, five persons of a same family died while other four injured after a car collided with a lorry which was parked on the road side after an accident on Wednesday late night near Honnalli village in Karwar taluk on the national highway 63.

The deceased, residents of Jamunala village, Vijayapura district have been identified as Rudrappa Kori (70), Prabu (64), Suvarna (65), Akash (13) and Sowmya (13). The other four injured have been admitted to Karwar district hospital for treatment.

Rudrappa and his members of family were on their way to Vijayapura after a temple visit in Dakshina Kannada when the accident took place. Ankola police have registered a case on the incident.
