Five-year-old gang-raped in Bengaluru; condition said to be critical

Bengaluru: A five-year-old girl was brutally raped by a four people at an unknown location on Friday night in the state capital.

The suspects reportedly arrived by car, kidnapped the girl when she came out of her house to attend nature’s call near Vayyali Kaval Cross and later brutally raped at an uninhabited location in the city. The girl suffered severe injuries and was dumped by the roadside later.

The Beat police rushed the girl to Bowring Hospital at night after they found her unconscious by the side of the road. Sources say that one of her fingers was damaged during the attack and that her condition was critical.

A case has been registered under the POCSO Act at KG Halli police station. The victim’s parents are reportedly laborers from Chitradurga.
