Five Year Old Rape Victim Dies in Bengaluru after Weeklong Battle with Death

Bengaluru: After a week long battle with the death, a 5 year old girl, rape victim died at a private hospital here in the state capital on Friday night after her heath condition turned serious. The police have registered a case against two culprits’ inconnection to the incident and the accused, Mallikarjun and Chandana for judicial custody.

The incident occurred on August 17 when the prime accused raped the victim while another accused Chandana supported him in the crime. Following worse health condition of the girl, her mother admitted her to a private hospital here. Based on the information from the hospital authorities, the police registered the case under POCSO Act.
