Flex removal: GP staff assaulted

Vittal: A man belonging to Bajrang Dal a Hindutva organization, assaulted a gram panchayat staff when the latter was removing flexes and banners at Peruvai in Vittal on Thursday May 2nd.

The victim is identified as Duggappa Naik (44), a resident of Kamajalu Manila who works as the panchayat pump operator.

As per the election commission’s order, Duggappa was removing flexes and banners when Ashwath Nagar resident and Bajrang Dal leader Yatish insulted him with foul language and then attacked him savagely.

Duggappa who is admitted at a hospital has given a complaint to Vittal police regarding caste abuse and preventing government employee from discharging his duty.
