Flight, bus co-passengers of Kodagu COVID-19 patient asked to report to govt hospital

Kodagu: Following a positive case of COVID-19 being reported from Kodagu on March 19, the district administration has urged co-passengers of the Indigo flight No 6E96 to report to the nearest government hospital.
The Dubai returnee who had arrived at Kempegowda airport on March 15 at around 4.15 pm was the 15th person to test positive for the novel coronavirus in the state. He later boarded the KSRTC Rajahamsa bus to Madikeri from Satellite bus stand, Bengaluru at 11.33 pm.
As a precautionary measure, the Kodagu district administration as well as the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services, Govt of Karnataka. in separate social media posts, advised people who used this flight/bus facility to report to the nearest government hospital.The Department has mentioned that it was facing difficulty in identifying 33 passengers on board the KSRTC bus as their seats were unreserved. The passengers as such have been advised to call on the helpline numbers.
