Flood Warning Issued in Afzalpur, Jevargi Taluks in Karnataka

Kalburgi: Flood warning has been issued to the people residing on the banks of river Bhima in Afzalpur and Jevargi taluks of Kalburgi district in Karnataka following heavy rainfall activities in Maharashtra for the last one week.
Maharashtra state has released 5,000 cusec water from Ujjani reservoir and also water level in Sonna reservoir has reached 405.75 feet against its maximum storage capacity of 406.40 feet. The authorities have warned the people of Kalburgi not move into river or river side.
