Fmr minister MR Seetharam’s son elected as K’taka Youth Congress chief

Bengaluru: Raksha Ramaiah, son of MR Seetharam, former minister and founder of the MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, has been elected as the president of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) in a controversial election.

The election saw Mohammed Haris Nalapad, son of Shantinagar MLA NA Haris, winning the election to the youth body of the Congress in the State with a lead of more than 4000 votes over Raksha.

However, Nalapad was disqualified from the election due to the assault case against him from 2018 in which has been charge-sheeted.

Raksha will be succeeding Basanagouda Badarli as the president KPYCC.

HS Manjunatha will be its vice-president.
