Bengaluru:  Flight operations at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) were disrupted between 6:30 am to 7:30 am on Saturday, December 22 owing to poor visibility conditions caused by the dense winter fog.

As many as 65 flights were delayed owing to the fog conditions informed sources at the airport. Passengers were stranded for hours at the airport as 45 flights could not take off on the scheduled departure time. The arrival of 15 flights was also delayed.

Poor visibility conditions due to fog, especially in the early morning hours of the winter season has often led to the disruption of services at KIA. Earlier in November too, the departure of 39 flights was delayed due to fog.
