For using mobile while driving, bus driver ends up paying Rs 5000 fine

Mangaluru: A driver of a private bus ended up paying a hefty fine after the police personnel of the city (north) traffic police station, engaged in checking of vehicles near Jokatte Cross saw that the driver conversing on his mobile phone while driving at around 7 pm on Saturday.
New Motor Vehicle Act finally implemented
The new Motor Vehicle Act with drastically increased fine rates finally came into effect in the city on Saturday September 7th and as per the new rule, a grand fine of Rs 5,000 was collected from the errant bus driver.
