Force planned for people-friendly policing: Karnataka Home Minister

Mangaluru: The Karnataka government plans to launch a new Central Command Centre in Bengaluru within four months to monitor the functioning of all police stations in the state using modern technology and provide a people-friendly policing system, state Home Minister G Parmeshwar said on Sunday.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the newly constructed police station at Vamanjoor near here, he said the government is building modernised police stations in various phases under the Nooru Police Station scheme.
He also said that the government is taking steps to provide basic infrastructure to police personnel who are working day and night for the safety of citizens.
