Former convener of Bajrang Dal Mahendra Kumar dies of heart attack

Bengaluru: Former convener of Bajrang Dal, Karnataka Mahendra Kumar died of heart attack on Saturday, April 25. He was 47.
Kumar was undergoing treatment at Ramaiah hospital Bengaluru where he breathed his last today (April 25) morning. His final rites will be held in his hometown Chikmagalur, informed sources.
Kumar, founder of Jana Dhwani movement was reportedly involved in the 2008 church attacks that happened in Coastal Karnataka. He later resigned from Bajrang Dal on 1 October 2008 and was succeeded as state convener of the Bajrang Dal by Suryanarayan.
On 21 February 2011 he joined the Janata Dal Party (JDS).
