Former K’taka Legislative Council member SM Shankar no more

Bengaluru: S M Shankar, a former member of Karnataka Legislative Council and younger brother of the former External Affairs Minister S M Krishna, died on Saturday, following a prolonged illness in a city hospital. He was 83.
As per the sources, his last rites will be held at his Somanahalli village in Maddur taluk in Mandya district, today evening.
Condoling his death former Chief Minister Siddaramaih said, ” Deeply saddened by the death of SM Shankar, a former member of Karnataka Legislative Council. Wish his family have courage to overcome this irreparable loss.”
