Bidar: Former MLA from Bhalki, Prakash Khandre has rejoined the BJP on Sunday.
The joining ceremony for Khandre was conducted at an election rally in Basavakalyan where he was handed over the party’s flag by BJP’s State in-charge Arun Singh.
Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Housing Minister V Somanna and BJP district leaders were present.
Khandre, who was in the BJP from 1999 to 2018, was a two-time MLA from the Bhalki constituency.
He lost the Bhalki seat in 2008, 2013 and 2016 byelections.
During the 2018 elections, he joined the JD(S) after having denied the ticket by the BJP.
