Former MLA Sambhaji Patil passes away

Belagavi: Former MLA and Maharashtra Ekikarana Samithi (MES) leader Sambhaji Patil died on Friday, May 17 night. He was 68.
As per the sources, Sambhaji was suffering from health-related complications for a year now. On Friday he was admitted to a private hospital, after he complained of severe chest pain, where he passed away without responding to the treatment.
Sambhaji was three-time mayor of the Belagavi city and had represented the city (south) assembly constituency once.
His funeral would be performed on Saturday, May 18, informed family sources.
