Former rowdy sheeter and accomplices arrested for murder of youth

Bengaluru: Baiyappanahalli police have arrested a former rowdy sheeter and his accomplices in connection with the murder of a youth.
The accused have been identified as former rowdy sheeter Nagendra (46) of Baiyappanahalli and his accomplice Rangaswamy (45).
According to police, Prajwal, a paperboy, was killed during a physical assault by the accused for pestering Nagendra’s niece. Prajwal, allegedly kept calling and sending WhatsApp messages to woo the girl into loving him but she had spurned his advances.
Nagendra, who came to know about this, called Prajwal to a deserted area near Baiyappanahalli Metro Station on the night of June 15. He along with Rangaswamy assaulted the youth with a stick to teach him a lesson but ended up killing him.
Another accused, identified as Vishnu, who called Prajwal to the deserted area on Nagendra’s instruction was also apprehended. Two other accused in the case are still missing and a search for their arrest is ongoing, police added.
Police said that Nagendra’s rowdy sheet had been closed in 2020 on account of good behaviour.
