Mangaluru: Unidentified miscreants on Monday, October 12 late night attacked former taluk panchayat member at Kulshekar.
Ulaibettu resident Yusuf was the former taluk panchayat member who was attacked.
Reportedly, Yusuf was traveling to Ulaibettu when a bike deliberately rammed into his car and waylaid him at Kulshekar and unidentified miscreants attacked him with swords, they also shattered the window panes of the car and fled from the spot.
Yusuf has been admitted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment there.
Kankanady rural police have registered a case with this regard.
