Mangaluru: U.T. Khader, Minister for Urban Development and Housing, has already ‘laid the foundation’ on Wednesday, for the construction of the multi-level car parking facility at Hampankatta under the Smart City Mission, even before the selection of a contractor for the very same project.
Mangaluru City Corporation commissioner and MD of Mangaluru Smart City Ltd, Mohammed Nazir has informed that no one applied to take up the project in the bid called for the first time. Hence, the company has called the bids for the second time which would be opened on August 31st.
Later the contractor will be selected by the company to take up the project at an estimated cost of Rs. 90 crore.
