Four arrested for illegal transportation of beef from Hassan to B C  Road

Puttur: Four persons were arrested for illegal transportation of beef by Uppinangady police on Sunday March 10th. Mohammed Suhaib, Sayyed Wasim, Salim Khan and Shaba Sherif are the arrested. All the accused are residents of Hassan.

Uppinangady stopped an Omni car for routine checking at Kootelu when 300 kgs of beef was found within the car. Apparently, the accused were transporting the meat to B C Road from Hassan.

The car was seized along with the beef and other things that it contained and the total value of the seized goods is worth around Rs 1.35,000.  

Uppinangady police have registered a case in this connection.
