Four children drown in pond

Pilibhit (UP): Four children drowned in a pond filled with rain water in Barhi village in the district, the police said today.

Manoj (12), Ajay (12), Jeetu (10) and Pradip (8) drowned yesterday, police said.

Senior police and administrative officials reached the spot and the bodies were later fished out, police said.

Additional District Magistrate Brij Kishore said that all help, as per norms, will be extended to the bereaved families.
