Four injured after being struck by lightning

Bantwal: Nearly four persons, including two students, sustained injuries after being struck by lightning as heavy rains lashed across the city on Thursday evening.
Reportedly two students of Vagga college were struck by a bolt when they were standing at the Nirkana Bus stand here. They were admitted to the Bantwala government hospital.
The other two persons who sustained injuries and are undergoing treatment at the hospital have been identified as Aisamma, 75, and Asyamma, 23, of Devasya Padur village. The duo was at home when the incident took place.
Tahsildar Purandara Hegde, village accountants Kumar T.C. and Suresh and others visited the hospital.
