Four injured in serial accident at Nanthoor Circle

Mangaluru: Four people sustained injuries in a serial accident involving a bike and other cars at Nanthoor circle here on Monday late night.

Reportedly the accident occurred when a traffic police personnel, posted on night duty, signaled a bike to stop for inspection purpose. A car plying behind the bike rammed into it as the biker, who was said to be speeding applied brakes all of a sudden. Likewise, other cars too rammed into one other leaving several injured.

Meanwhile the traffic police left the spot without admitting those injured to the hospital thereby triggering a flash protest from the locals here. They alleged that the traffic police were stopping vehicled in middle of the road which was causing accidents.

The injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
