Four interstate drug peddlers held, 10 kgs ganja confiscated

Mangaluru: In yet another crackdown on drug peddlers, personnel of the Anti-rowdy squad, led by ACP South Subdivision T Kodandaram arrested four interstate drug peddlers at Thokkottu here on November 6.

The arrested have been identified as Abubakker Samad alias Samad (24), Mohammed Ashraf (30), Mohammed Afrid (22), Mohammed Arshad (18), all residents of Manjeshwar

Acting on a tip-off about drug peddling at Thokkottu the anti rowdy squad personnel conducted a raid and arrested the four persons. Ganja weighing 10 kg, a car, a two-wheeler, and three mobile phones were confiscated from their possession. The vale of the seized items is estimated at Rs 5 lakh.

The raid was carried under the guidance of city police commissioner Dr Harsha, DCP Law and order Arunagshu Giri and DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh.
