Four killed in head-on collision between car and bus

Bagalkote: Four people died on the spot in a head-on collision between a car and a government bus near Shirol village in Bagalkot district in the wee hours of Friday, January 3.
The deceased have been identified as Hanamantha (21), Riyaz (25), Balappa (34) and Siddaramaiah (34).
As per reports, the car collided into the bus while attempting to overtake a sugarcane-laden tractor.
The deceased were on their way to Dharwad from Kaji Bilagi. The bus was headed to Kalaburagi via Mudhol from Belagavi.
Mudhol police registered a case in this regard.
