Four members of a family, including two children, burnt to death after car catches fire

Hassan: Four members of a family, including two children, were charred to death after the vehicle in which they were travelling caught fire on Thursday in the outskirts of the Channarayapatna in the district.

Vivek Nayak, his wife Reshma Nayak and the couple’s children – Vinanthi (9) and Vignesh (5) – died in the tragic mishap which took place after their car hit a toilet alongside the national highway 75. The impact of the collision caused the engine of the car to explode and no sooner it was engulfed in flames.

The victims, residents of Chikkabanavara in Bangaluru were on their way to Hassan from Bengaluru, informed a police official. 

Channaraynapatna police registered a case.
