Bengaluru: Four MPs from Karnataka including Rajya Sabha member Nirmala Sitharaman will be sworn in as Union Ministers on Thursday.
The four selected leaders are Prahalad Joshi, Nirmala Sitharaman, DV Sadananda Gowda and Suresh Angadi.
All the four leaders received a call from the Prime Minister Office, inviting them to join the government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, informed sources.
The party took into account seniority while making the choice of ministers, sources said. Both Joshi and Angadi are four-time MPs of the party from Karnataka.
Though Uttara Kannada MP Ananth Kumar Hegde is senior most among all MPs from Karnataka, it is still not clear whether he will be inducted or not. Hegde was Minister of the state for skill development in the outgoing government, informed sources.
