Fr Mahesh D’Souza suicide case: Mudarangadi Gram panchayat chief arrested

Udupi: Shirva police on Wednesday arrested the president of Mudarangadi gram panchayat David D’Souza for allegedly abetting the suicide of Fr Mahesh D’Souza, principal of Don Bosco English Medium School.
D’Souza was arrested on Wednesday afternoon and produced before a court. He has been remanded to 14-day judicial custody.
On October 11, 2019, Fr Mahesh D’Souza was found dead in the school chamber in Shirva. Though it was suicide, a case of unnatural death was registered at Shirva police station.
