Fraudsters return Horanadu temple chief’s stolen money

Chikkamagalur: Bheemeshwar Joshi, trustee of Horanadu Annapooneshwari temple got back his stolen money of Rs 20,98,259. The fraudsters credited back the money back to his account.
Joshi during his tour to Europe had used his debit card for shopping on September 4. Joshi, who returned to India on September 6, realized about the fraud while checking his account details with the bank on September 14.
As Joshi dint check his phone on transactions related messages, he was unaware of the whole incident. The news came to light only when he went to the bank.
Joshi, who approached the bank, came to know that the fraudsters had used deceptive methods to cheat him by skimming his card. He then filed complaint with the police in the district headquarters.
Within a month of the complaint, the entire amount stands credited back into Joshi’s account. However, it is gathered that the police have continued with investigation.
Joshi said that he got his money back on account of the blessings of Goddess Annapoorneshwari and systematic working of Karnataka Bank’s board of directors and also its managing director, Mahabaleshwar Bhat.
