Free educations to girls in govt schools: Madhwaraj

Udupi: Minister for Fisheries, Youth Empowerment and Sports, Pramod Madhwaraj, said that Government would provide free education to girls from kindergarten to post-graduation level in all government schools and colleges in the Karnataka.
Addressing the gathering here, Madhwaraj said that the State government had decided to provide free education to girl students and exempt them of all fees.
The government has also decided to provide free bus pass facility to all students.
The government had also taken proactive steps on the issues of guest lectures and assistant professors. The government was spending Rs.60, 000 per student annually, he said.
