Bengaluru: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya on Thursday, hitting out at MP Rahul Gandhi said that while the Congress leader has the choice to contest from Wayanad because he has a better chance of winning there than home constituency Amethi, Why can’t a farmer of Amethi not have the freedom to sell in Kerala or any place where he gets better price?
During his address at Lok, Shabha Tejasvi said, “Freedom of choice can’t be anti-farmers, while Rahul Gandhi has the choice to contest from Wayanad because he has a better chance of winning there than home constituency Amethi, Why can’t a farmer of Amethi not have the freedom to sell in Kerala or any place where he gets better price?”
He further lashed out at MP Dayanidhi Maran and said, “You asked why Prime Minister didn’t take vaccine yet, perhaps in Old India, politicians and family of Maran would be 1st to take the vaccine. This is New India, where healthcare and frontline workers are given importance. In New India, politicians don’t get privileges out of turn.”
He also said, “While London, New York, and Moscow invested in public mobility in the 19th and 20th Centuries, we were cruelly late, PM Modi government has made course correction by investing heavily in urban infrastructure.”
“I thank Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for sanctioning Rs 15,000cr for Airport and SilkBoard (ORR) lines of B’luru metro,” he added.
