DySP Ramachandrappa

Madhugiri: Fresh allegations have cropped up against DySP Ramachandrappa, who was recently arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in his office.

In a video testimony, another woman has accused him of sexual harassment.

The latest complaint claims Ramachandrappa harassed the woman who had approached the police station regarding a financial dispute. Despite her repeated pleas, calling him a father figure, the DySP allegedly continued his inappropriate behavior, the video alleged.

The woman said she had filed a complaint with the Women’s Commission after losing Rs 10-12 lakh in a loan transaction through a Facebook acquaintance. Based on this complaint, Ramachandrappa allegedly video-called her asking her to visit his office.

The woman further stated that her husband was asked to wait outside, and under the guise of questioning, she was summoned to a room where the DySP allegedly harassed her.

In the video, the woman claimed the DySP dismissed her protests, gave her Rs 500, and instructed her to remain silent.
