Fuel price hits century in coastal Karnataka too

Sullia, Belathangady, Kundapura: Fuel price in the coastal districts of the State too has crossed Rs 100 per litre on Friday.
At Sullia, petrol prices were reported to be Rs 100.19 per litre on June 18. While in Kundapura it was ranging between Rs 100.04 and Rs 100.07 per litre.
In Ujire and Kokkadu the prices were Rs 100 and Rs 100.26 per litre respectively.
In Mangaluru city the petrol price was reported to be Rs 99.3 per litre and diesel Rs 92.20 per litre.
In Bantwal it was Rs 99.58 per litre while at Udupi, petrol cost was at Rs 99.71 a litre and diesel Rs 92.52 a litre.
Anand Karnad, secretary of the Karnataka State Petroleum Dealers Federation said that the prices will continue to rise as the prices of international crude oil are presently high. He advised that the government should revise the excise duty on fuel to mitigate the situation.
