Indians love to display their favorite quotes on vehicles. One can find anything from famous Bollywood movie dialogues to quirky jokes scribbled on most parts of vehicles. But, the registration number plate for pasting such lines is a strict no-no.
One may wonder, what happens if you dare to paste a funny line on the vehicle number plate in India? Three men in Uttar Pradesh who actually did it, found the answer the hard way.
The trio was caught by a police officer riding with a Hindi line duly pasted on the number plate. “Bol dena Pal saheb aaye the (Tell them Pal saheb had come)” read the funny line. But the police weren’t amused at all.
The stunt landed the men behind bars. Auraiya superintendent of police Abhishek Verma shared the photos of the youth and their ride on Twitter. His narration of the incident by referring to a song from the movie Vijaypath has since gone viral.
The UP Police’s Twitter handle also tweeted the incident in a funny manner. “Main ‘pal’ do ‘pal’ ka rider hoon; ‘pal’ do ‘pal’ meri kahaani hai.” the post read, taking potshots at the youth’s stunt.
