Bengaluru: Chamundeshwari MLA, G T Deve Gowda, who had made open his unhappiness at the allotment of higher education ministry to him, is probably going to get excise and Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) offices in its place.
Sources said that the excise department, which is as of now with the chief minister, and APMC, which was prior assigned to Bandeppa Kashempur, would be given to Deve Gowda. The Chief Minister will hold the higher education portfolio with himself, and for this reason, he would appoint resigned vice chancellor of Karnataka State Open University, K S Rangappa, as counsel of this office, sources uncovered.
At the point when Siddaramaiah was the deputy chief minister, he was given excise and finance departments. With the designation of excise department, Deve Gowda will get the fulfillment of having taken care of the office which was with his arch rivalry, Siddaramaiah, whom he had vanquished in the ongoing assembly election. More then likely, order about these progressions would be issued on Monday.
Responding to the statement, Deve Gowda expressed that he would comply with any choice JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy may take about him. He said he is fit for dealing with higher education department, however had communicated his eagerness to deal with a division that can accomplish something valuable for the farmers. He said that if he is given APMC office, he will work to see that farmers get reasonable cost for their produce and they get appropriate markets for what they grow.
