Gadag: Man throws three children into river, jumps in himself following family dispute

Mundaragi: In a tragic incident, a 38-year-old man allegedly threw three children into the Tungabhadra River before jumping in himself near Korlahalli in Mundaragi taluk on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Manjunath Arakeri, a resident of Maktumpur village, Vedant (3), Pavan (4), and Dhanya (6).

Following a family conflict, Manjunath reportedly took his two children and nephew on a two-wheeler to a bridge over the Tungabhadra River. He allegedly threw the children into the river and then jumped in himself.

Mundaragi police, along with fire department personnel and locals, launched a search operation immediately after the incident.
